Miller in doubt but Mackail-Smith, Fletcher likely to play - Scotland boss Levein

Kenny Miller is in major doubt for tonight's Euro2012 qualifier against Spain according to Scotland boss Craig Levein.

The Cardiff City striker missed Friday night's 1-0 win in Liechtenstein because of a groin injury and is in danger of playing no part against the World Champions in Alicante, however, fellow striker Craig Mackail-Smith and captain Darren Fletcher are likely to shake off hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.

"Of the doubtful ones, Kenny would probably be the worst. He doesn't believe he has improved very much since Friday," Levein said yesterday.

"Whether we will even get as far as giving Kenny a fitness test tomorrow, I don't know.

"But Mackail-Smith and Fletcher will both get a fitness test.

"Fletcher sounds more confident today than he did yesterday - so that is encouraging.

"If the game had been today, I'd have been worried but Darren is projecting in his own mind the same improvement."
