Miller concedes luck played a part in foreign award

Queensland Roar import Charlie Miller admitted he was lucky to be named the A-League Foreign Player of the Year.

The Scotsman was a revelation for the Roar this season, scoring seven goals as an attacking midfielder but says he was lucky to have beaten some great players to take the prize.

"It's nice to get acknowledged for trying to play the game properly," Miller said.

"I've been lucky enough to beat some very good players.

"We've got a great dressing room with great camaraderie," he added.

"I've loved every minute of it, plus we're in the finals as well so hopefully we can get a good finish to the season."
