Crystal Palace caretaker boss Keith Millen feels their next manager should be a local.
Palace are expected to name their new manager this week.
"I just feel if it were my choice, it would probably need to be a Premier League manager that knows this division and, with his experience, knows how to win football matches because there is an art to it," said the former Bristol City boss.
"You look at the managers who survive in this division and they find a way of winning matches. That would be the ideal situation for me. But if that's not the case, then you get the man in who you think will take this club forward. There is a good future here."
