Diego Milito is convinced Inter Milan can finish in the Europa League places this season.

The Nerazzurri are currently sat in eighth place in Serie A, five points adrift of AS Roma in fifth.

"It has been a difficult period for me," he told Sky Sport Italia. "I have to thank all those who have shown me love.

"I regret not being able to help my teammates, but I am convinced that we will get a place in the Europa League.

"I do not know where I'll be next year. All I'm thinking about is recovering from this injury.

"At the moment, I will not leave Inter - but that will be for the company to decide.

"We all hope Mourinho comes back. He made history here and is a fantastic Coach."
