Former FC Thun and Melbourne Victory defender Ljubo Milicevic has signed with the Newcastle Jets. After a tumultuous stint with the Victory, Milicevic is happy to be back in the A-League and is looking forward to the upcoming challenge of the Asian Champions League with the Jets.

"I wasn't ready before but now I feel I'm ready and can't wait to play for the club," he said. "The club has signed some very good players and I feel really fit," he told 442.

"It's good to be back," he added.

The 27-year old has signed a one-year deal with the club.
