Newcastle Jets defender Ljubo Milicevic has backed young goalkeeper Ben Kennedy to do very well in his number one post at the club.
Since the departure of Ante Covic last month, Kennedy has been touted as his replacement and looks set to take the gloves in next week's Asian Champions League fixture against Nagoya Grampus in Japan.
The 22-year old has received the blessing of Milicevic.
"He's a gun keeper, I'm telling you I've been so impressed with him. He deserves his chance," Milicevic said.
"I've no doubt he'll do just fine [in Japan]," adds Milicevic.
"He's a good kid."
