Milan’s Seedorf backs Beckham return
AC Milan’s Clarence Seedorf is confident his teammate David Beckham will make a full recovery and a successful return from the Achilles injury he sustained on Sunday.
The 34-year old England international has already undergone surgery on the torn tendon and although the injury will definitely keep him out of the World Cup, veteran Dutchman Seedorf can see him returning due to the fact he is so fit and determined.
“David is a popular player in the dressing room because of his spirit and character and those qualities will help him come back,” Seedorf said.
“He is a very fit player, determined and focused. He came to Milan in great shape and that will help him through.
“He is devastated but will be back.”
