Leeds United midfielder Zan Benedicic has undergone surgery to repair a damaged meniscus in his knee.
The 19-year old Slovenia U21 international is on a season-long loan from Italian giants AC Milan but will have to wait until the New Year before making his first start for the Whites.
Benedicic has been battling the problem for a couple of months now and opted to have an operation in Belgium before returning to West Yorkshire to begin rehabilitation.
Since arriving at Elland Road, Benedicic has made just two substitute appearances for the Championship outfit.
