Mikel: Chelsea coping without Lampard

Chelsea's John Obi Mikel insists the team is coping well without star midfielder Frank Lampard.

The England international has been out since the end of August but without him, Chelsea have swept to five wins from their opening six league matches.

However, tonight they meet French outfit Marseille without Yossi Benayoun, Salomon Kalou, Didier Drogba and Lampard but Mikel is of firm belief that the team will be ok.

"Frank is an important player for us. We all know that," the Nigerian said.

"Right now he's injured. It's a massive loss, but I think we're coping well without him. We've played four games and only lost one.

"We've also scored a lot of goals without him. But of course he's a fantastic player and we can't wait to have him back.

"This is the first game we've lost, but I don't think it's the end of our season. We have to keep going.

"When we lose we have to come back strongly and I think the Marseille game will be the start of that."
