Former Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic says they should've signed PSG whizkid Kylian Mbappe.
PSG took Mbappe on-loan last month with the obligation to buy him outright for €180m.
Mijatovic believes Real should've met Monaco's demands, explaining to Marca: "Why not? Real is historically obliged to fight for great hopes. An 18-year-old kid, who has this potential, must always have his place and if he is not holder from the beginning, he will be in a year.
"You can not wait for a star like Cristiano or Modric to retire to find a replacement. Real has signed many young Spanish, with a bright future, it is a very good philosophy.
"But we must explain to them that they come as hopes and that they can not play all the matches from the first minute."
