AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic says the team hasn't lived up to expectations in recent years.

Milan will meet Inter Milan this weekend.

"For two or three years, Milan haven't been Milan," Mihajlovic told the supporters.

“We're convinced that we'll be among the contenders this season. We have to do better in the next few matches, and I'm sure we'll make up for things in the derby.

“I'm sure we'll fight for the top places this year. We're building something important.

“We are indebted to the fans, you have my word that we'll give everything on the pitch to fight for the top places."
