Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic felt they were the better team in defeat to AC Milan.

A spectacular Zlatan Ibrahimovic overhead kick and Christian Abbiati's saves gave Milan a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina.

“I didn’t like the first half-hour and they decided the game with a moment of magic from one player, but the performance of my side was excellent,” said Mihajlovic.

“They never really put us under pressure and I don’t know how many teams can create this many chances at San Siro. We emerge with no points, but gave a good account of ourselves.”

The Tuscans even gave 18-year-old defender Michele Camporese his Serie A debut at half-time when Cesare Natali limped off.

“He is certainly a good player, is young and did well with Empoli and at international level. I like his personality.

“Looking at tonight’s performance, I really cannot complain, as the players did what I asked of them.”
