Mignolet praises Sakho on Liverpool debut

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was impressed by Mamadou Sakho on debut.

The former PSG defender stepped in for the injured Dan Agger in Monday's 2-2 draw at Swansea City.

Mignolet said: "With Sakho, you can see he has all the qualities to be a centre-back in the Premier League. He's big and strong and can pass.

"It was good for him to make his debut and I hope he will settle into the team quickly. I played against him for the Under-21s with Belgium when he was captain of the French side.

"He looked impressive then. From what I've seen in training, he's improved."
