Mignolet: Liverpool have drawn without doubt the Europa League's best team

Simon Mignolet believes that Liverpool have been drawn against the best team in the Europa League in Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool forced their way past traditional rivals Manchester United in the Round of 16 of Europe's second tier club competition but they certainly have a tough job ahead after being drawn against German Bundesliga giants Dortmund in the quarter-finals.

Dortmund have been sensational throughout the course of the current campaign and Reds keeper Mignolet has gone on to state that Thomas Tuchel's side are the top drawer side in the competition right now.

The Belgium international is also hoping the Merseyside club can force their way into the Premier League's top four come season's end.

The Belgian told Sporza: "There are nine matches left and we have to finish as high as possible in the table, but in England there's a lot of competition (for a top-four finish).

"We're also hoping to go as far as possible in the Europa League. It won't be easy because we drew Dortmund – they're without doubt the best team left in the competition."

Liverpool head to the Westfalenstadion for the first leg on April 7 before hosting the Schwarzgelben at Anfield the following Thursday.
