Simon Mignolet is pleased with his form since returning from injury at Sunderland.

The 24-year-old has started each of Sunderland's four games in January wearing a protective face mask, a legacy of the horrific facial injury he sustained against Aston Villa.

"I feel like I'm getting into things again now," he explained to safc.com.

"The first couple of games are always difficult after you come back and I only had four days' training before the Manchester City game.

"I had to pick things up and I've been quite happy with my play. The only way to get going again is by playing games.

"I have been very pleased with how things have gone so far."
