Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet says skipper Steven Gerrard gave a post-match team-talk after his dismissal against Manchester United.

Gerrard was sent off inside the first minute of the second-half.

Despite the blow delivered by United's painful victory, he reminded everyone there was still much to play for, that every ambition Liverpool had going into the game remained.

"He spoke to the team after the game inside the dressing room and what was said exactly shall stay in there, but it shows who and what he is off the pitch," the keeper said.
