Belgium U21 goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is delighted with his move to Sunderland.
The Sint-Truiden keeper signed a five-year contract on Wearside today to seal a move for an undisclosed fee.
"I am very proud to be here," Sunderland's new signing told SAFC TV.
"It is a great club with great supporters and a great stadium. I have seen it all and it was clear to me that I wanted to come here.
"I had a chat with the manager and the goalkeeping coach, and they told me what I can achieve here.
"The stadium, the facilities - everything about the club is massive. When you're a young kid like me it's impressive and I'm very happy to be here."
