Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was happy with his cleansheet in victory over Preston.

It marked the former Sunderland No1's debut for the Reds.

He said: "I am pleased. We played a solid game.

"What you want is a clean sheet and a couple of goals and that is what we got today so there are positives. It can only give us a boost."
