Mido's hopes of signing permanently with Wigan Athletic could depend on Middlesbrough beating the drop.

The Daily Mail says Wigan boss Steve Bruce wants to make Mido's loan move from Middlesbrough permanent, with Marlon King going the other way.

Egypt striker Mido has impressed at Wigan, although the deal could be jeopardised if Boro are relegated and are reluctant to pay King's Premier League wages.
