Mido turned down mega offers for West Ham move

Mido is happy with the £1,000-a-week deal he's signed with West Ham United.

Mido insists he turned down three far more lucrative offers and snubbed a whopping £400,000 signing-on fee at another club before making his loan move from Championship side Middlesbrough in the January transfer window.

The Egypt striker told the News of the World: "I agreed I would play for a grand a week, which I know will make me one of the poorest-paid players in the League.

"But, to be honest, I didn't consider the money at all.

"Sometimes you have to look to the future and I believe I am investing in myself. It's true I am losing a lot because I am on loan from Middlesbrough and I should be on £48,000 a week.

"It's a massive drop and my mother was very angry with me for agreeing to it.

"But I've made mistakes in the past and I know it is the right decision for me now.

"I've earned a lot of money over the past few years and now I've got a point to prove to myself and the West Ham supporters."

Dude, that's £750/week too much already.

What I want to know is how does something like this affect team dynamics. Do you get preferential treatment being on the same pay grade as the changing room janitor? You’re spoiling it everyone else I would think.

I’m giving you benefit of the doubt, but you still suck.
