Wigan striker Mido says he would love to remain at the club but has agreed to leave contract talks until the end of the season.
The Egyptian is currently on loan from Middlesbrough but with the likelihood of that side being relegated to the Championship, Mido is keen on winning a permanent deal to remain a Latics player.
"I agreed with Steve (manager Steve Bruce) before I signed that we wouldn't talk about next season before this one was finished," Mido told the Wigan Evening Post.
"I don't know what will happen in the summer, but if you were to ask me now what I'd like to happen, I would love to be here next season.
"The team is doing well, and I don't see any reason why we can't get into Europe."
