Mido admits Francesco Totti was the reason for his departure from Roma.
The Egyptian striker joined the Giallorossi in 2004, but played just 14 games for the club without scoring a single goal.
“After the 2006 Supercoppa, Totti decided to become the central striker," Mido told On Sport.
“[Agent Mino] Raiola advised me to stay at Roma, but I told him no. I could compete with anyone in the world, except Totti.
“So that's why I went to Tottenham."
