Mido claims talks with Hull over transfer move
Mido is currently on a season-long loan at El Zamalek from Middlesbrough, but revealed he is set to leave the club this month and is in talks with Hull and another Premier League side.
If the deal should go through he could follow his Egypt team-mate Amr Zaki to the KC Stadium.
The 26-year-old He told Modern Sport: "I'm 90 percent certain that I will leave Zamalek before the closure of the transfer window.
"Hull have been talking to me for a month now and another English club, who I can not name at the moment, are also interested.
"This club, who have a great history, lie in the top half of the table and will table an official bid to sign me within two or three days."
However, Mido denied that he would be following in the footsteps of Zaki.
"I played with many stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Didier Drogba, Francesco Totti and Antonio Cassano so why should I follow Zaki?"
And the former Tottenham man played down reports of a rift between him and his international colleague.
"I never cause problems for Zaki. I had nothing to do with the problems he had with (then Wigan coach) Steve Bruce last season nor had any role in his current troubles with Zamalek," he said.
