Wigan loan signing Mido is confident he can replace Emile Heskey at the JJB Stadium and wants to make the move permanent. The Egyptian international rates former Leicester and Liverpool striker Heskey highly and insists he will try to emulate him.

"He is top class. He is the best target man in England," Mido told Sky Sports News.

"I think my game is in a way similar to his as a target man. All I can say is I will try my best.

"I want to work very hard until the end of the season. I want to make this permanent in the summer."
