Sofiane Boufal, Southampton's club record signing at £16m, is struggling with his confidence boss Claude Puel has revealed.

"It is a little difficult for Sofiane. We know his talent. He's a fantastic player.

"At the moment he has some confidence problems and I need to discuss with him to find a solution.

"It is important to see at this level his quality; he is happy to play with this team.

"There is a lot of pressure on him and it is difficult for him to have just 15 to 25 minutes to play.

"He likes to play and needs confidence to give all his possibilities.
