Middlesbrough midfielder Gary O'Neil will miss the rest of the Premier League season after undergoing knee surgery.
The Teessiders confirmed the 24-year-old, who was injured during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Tottenham, is out of this weekend's vital clash with Bolton at the Riverside Stadium and will not play again before the end of the current campaign.
However, O'Neil, a £5million signing from Portsmouth, is expected to be fit for the start of next season.
