Middlesbrough striker Mido wants a move to Wigan Athletic.

The Egyptian, who would link up with free-scoring fellow countryman Amr Zaki at the JJB Stadium, would prefer a transfer but would consider a loan.

A source close to Mido told the News of the World: "He is trying to engineer a move to Wigan and could also go there on loan. He wants to look after himself."
