Middlesbrough centre-forward Mido has admitted he could be forced to go to the African Cup of Nations with Egypt in January.

The forward is likely to have recovered from his pubic bone injury by the middle of January but he said: "I have spoken to the Egyptian Federation and the manager and we agree it is too early to say."
