Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing is determined to force his way back into Fabio Capello's England plans.
He insists he will not complain about being left out and has vowed to work hard in his bid to add to his 16 England caps.
"That's football, there's no point moaning about it," Downing told Sky Sports News. "I've just got to get my head down and keep playing well, and hopefully Fabio Capello will pick me again.
"There is no point whinging and moaning, and going in the papers saying this and that, you might as well get your head down and keep playing.
"That's what he's looking for. He's looking for performances on the field and that's the only way I can do my talking."
