Middlesbrough's Davies wants Southampton stay

On-loan Southampton defender Andrew Davies admits he may have played his last game for Southampton.

Davies said: "It was my decision to go there. Boro did not really want me to go but I just did not want to sit here and be comfortable.

"I felt it was time to go and get my name in lights and to show what I can do.

"It was something of a personal challenge. I could have sat on the bench but I wanted to get out of the comfort zone."

He added: "I have come a long way from home but I have done it because I believe Southampton are a Premier League club.

"I believe I am a Premier league player and I want to stay and achieve that with Saints."
