Middlesbrough's Boateng rules out management

Middlesbrough midfielder George Boateng can't see himself going into management once he retires.

He told the Evening Gazette: "I don't want to be in Gareth's (Southgate) shoes. I don't have any interest in it at all.

"I think it's great what he's done because when I speak to him he does say that there are certain things in football that he ever thought was part of being a manager.

"He only thought of maybe helping players develop their game and training sessions, but it's so much more than that. So I think it's very brave what he's

done. I wouldn't do it because if I want to do something I will do it if I know what I'm letting myself in for by training myself and preparing.

"It was very brave and for that you have to give him credit because I would definitely not go from playing straight into management."
