Middlesbrough midfielder Julio Arca says Roy Keane has the ability to keep old club Sunderland in the Premiership next season.
The Argentine told the Evening Chronicle: "Roy Keane has been great for Sunderland and I am very happy to see them back in the Premiership.
"I remember when I first came to Sunderland (in 2000) and we came seventh in the table under Peter Reid.
"It should have been the start of something big, but we only just avoided relegation the next season and then went down the season after that.
"The season before last we were in the Premiership again but went straight back down - I can't see that happening to Sunderland this time, though.
"There is money to spend and Keane's reputation will help him attract quality players.
"It is a big jump from the Championship to the Premiership, but there is no reason why Sunderland can't get back to the kind of success they had when I first went there."
