Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere is using Blackburn midfielder David Bentley as inspiration that players can succeed beyond Arsenal.

He told Boro's website: "He's done very well there but he's not the only one. There are a lot of youngsters who have gone on to make a name for themselves such as Jermaine Pennant and Steve Sidwell when they have left Arsenal.

"I really hope I'm the next one. I can't wait to get out on that pitch and show what I can do.

"I've got real ambition for this club, obviously I want to score some goals and assists, but I want to help Boro get back into Europe as quickly as possible."
