Middlesbrough will wrap up the signing of Reading midfielder James Harper today.

The Daily Mail says Harper will travel to Middlesbrough today for final talks and a medical in an attempt to tie up a £5million deal.

Harper, 28, was a target for Boro last summer and they have renewed their bid after missing out on Ben Watson of Crystal Palace, who joined Wigan.

Bolton have also expressed an interest in Harper.
