Middlesbrough won't up bid for Reading's Harper

Middlesbrough refuse to up their bid for Reading midfielder James Harper.

The Evening Gazette says Boro have their valuation of Harper and are sticking with it.

It means that the stand-off between the two clubs will continue, with relegated Reading sticking with their reported asking price of around £5.5m.

Boro's valuation is believed to be much lower, and is unlikely to change significantly in the near future.
