Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has intimated he will only consider allowing defender Andrew Davies to leave on-loan.

Davies has been given permission to hold talks with clubs interested in signing him.

"A couple of clubs have been in for Andrew and he's intimated that he would like the opportunity to speak to them," Southgate told Boro's website. "The scenario would be a loan with a deal agreed for January."
