Middlesbrough and West Brom are battling for Stoke City outcast Michael Tonge.

Ex-England U21 international midfielder Tonge is available for £2million.

The 26-year-old was a £2.5m beat-the-deadline capture from Sheffield United last August, but has failed to make any impact with just one start and nine appearances as sub for boss Tony Pulis's side.
