Middlesbrough academy boss Dave Parnaby has welcomed back coach Mark Proctor to the club.

He told Boro's website: "I'm really happy to have Mark back. His relationship with the players is exceptional and he has a real forte for youth development; the club will be far better off for having him.

"Mark has had the opportunity to continue his development as a coach since leaving the club. He has coached at a high level in the Scottish Premier League with Hibernian and then managed Livingston, while he comes to the club with a UEFA pro-licence under his belt.

"Mark is a superb character, who will help to develop the great young talent we have at the club."
