Middlesbrough are hoping to strike a deal with Spanish club Espanyol.

According to reports, Boro are eyeing Uruguayan striker Christian Stuani to replace Patrick Bamford who was the club's leading scorer in the Championship last season.

Uruguay international Stuani, who has previously played at Reggina, Albacete, Levante and Racing Santander, is available for around £4million according to the Daily Mail.
