Middlesbrough to try again for Borussia Dortmund defender Subotic

Middlesbrough are ready to try again for Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.

The Daily Mail says Boro will look at reviving their deal for Subotic this month should he come through a thorough medical.

Middlesbrough saw an £8million deal fall through in the summer after medical tests revealed Subotic needed surgery on a rib injury. He had recently recovered from a thrombosis in his arm and has since had issues with his knee.

Hamburg have made enquiries for the 28-year-old Serbian but his representative Frieder Gamm told German channel Sport1 that Premier League clubs were interested though a decision will not be made until after January 15.
