Middlesbrough to offer West Brom target Ben Gibson new terms

Middlesbrough are fighting to keep hold of Ben Gibson.

The Express & Star says England international Gibson has been the subject of three failed bids from West Brom, the latest of which is believed to have been worth up to £21million including add-ons.

But Middlesbrough, relegated from the Premier League last season, have no wish or need to sell the 24-year-old, with reports now claiming he will be offered improved terms in order to remain on the Riverside.

Gibson still has four years remaining on his current deal but Boro chiefs want him to stay for at least another season and lead the club's push for promotion from the Championship.
