Middlesbrough are being linked with an amazing gamble on Turkish veteran Hakan Sukur.

The Mirror says Galatasaray will let the legendary striker leave now after he declared he'd be off in the summer.

Boro feel Sukur, 36, could bring the best out of Tuncay, his successor as Turkey's golden boy.

Sukur had a brief spell at Blackburn and is keen to play in the Premier League again.
