Middlesbrough take a chance on ex-QPR crock Dyer

ChampionshipMiddlesbrough have signed Kieron Dyer on a short-term deal following his exit from Queens Park Rangers earlier this month. The 34-year-old winger has trained with Boro since his release by QPR at the beginning of January.

"He's looked really good in training, nice and sharp," boss Tony Mowbray told BBC Tees.

"The level he has played his football at over the years suggests he is very talented and he's shown that in training this week."

Injuries limited the former England international to 35 appearances with West Ham, and short term moves to Ipswich and Queens Park Rangers followed.
