Championship boss Tony Mowbray is continuing his search for a Middlesbrough striker despite a fine start to the campaign. Marvin Emnes has impressed on Teesside with seven goals to his name to date, but there is little back-up to the Dutchman and Scott McDonald following the summer departures of Kris Boyd, Leroy Lita and Lee Miller.
Mowbray, therefore, is keen to add to his ranks with a loan signing.
He told the club's official website: "We are working very hard behind the scenes and striving to get in a striker.
"We are playing a lot of games in a short space of time and with a thin squad, you have to guard against the chances of players becoming fatigued."
