Middlesbrough are moving for Inter Milan striker Adriano.

The Sun says Riverside boss Gareth Southgate approached the Brazilian's advisors having finally sold Yakubu to Everton yesterday.

Adriano, 25, is being offered around a host of Premier League clubs after falling out with boss Roberto Mancini at the San Siro.

Inter want Adriano to go on loan for a season and return to Italy next year.

But the striker is keen to quit the club for good - which will suit Southgate.
