Jeremie Aliadiere is convinced he's made the right decision to quit Arsenal for Middlesbrough.

"I think Gareth wants to create a team that goes forward with speed and a young team and it's just what I like," he said.

"I haven't played a lot at Arsenal and I've come here with a point to prove and to do what I can do. When you're on the sidelines or on the bench it's a bit difficult.

"From the time I chose to come here in January I've followed all Middlesbrough's games and watched them and the way they play.

"I've wanted to do this since then so I'm very glad to be here. Once I made my decision to come I wanted to stick with it and come here so it wasn't difficult.

"I've chosen to come here to do my best and to play every game. I've made my decision a long time ago and I have no regrets at all."
