Middlesbrough want to re-sign Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas.

The Daily Mail says Boro want to bring Kalas back to the club ahead of their Premier League return.

Kalas spent last season on loan at the Riverside, helping the club to promotion and manager Aitor Karanka is keen on another season-long switch.

The Czech Republic international still has two years on his deal at Stamford Bridge, but the likelihood of Kalas playing regularly under new manager Antonio Conte, who will be officially tomorrow, seem remote.
