Middlesbrough are planning to table a whopping £14million bid for Jordan Rhodes.

It is no secret that Middlesbrough are currently eyeing the services of Blackburn Rovers star Rhodes and the striker is also keen on a move to the Riverside Stadium.

However, Blackburn are taking a hard stance on Rhodes and recently rejected Boro's sizeable £12million bid for their prized asset.

Boro are set to persist in their pursuit for Rhodes though and are now ready to table an improved bid in the region of around £14million, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.
