Middlesbrough are launching a £3 million bid for Arsenal fullback Armand Traore.
Boro boss Gareth Southgate wants the Frenchman, who is on loan at Portsmouth from Arsenal, to plug his leaky defence.
Southgate is on a very tight budget at the Riverside but is attempting to scrape together the cash to fund a bid for Traore.
