Middlesbrough chairman and owner Steve Gibson has rejected an offer from a Chinese consortium for his club.
The Sun reports that the group led by Chinese-American billionaire Chien Lee have been rebuffed in their bid to buy the Teesside outfit.
Gibson has held talks with the consortium but has opted not to sell his boyhood club having saved Boro form liquidation when forming his own consortium back in 1986.
Lee, who acquired OGC Nice last year, recently held talks with Hull City but ended negotiations in November.
An additional report from the Daily Mail suggests that Gibson turned down a bid of £50million from Leeds consortium for a 50% stake of Boro.
